Lakes Bourget and Aiguebelette Annecy

A 2-day motorcycle tour around Lacs du Bourget, Aiguebelette, Annecy, Léman, en passant par Chamonix, combining scenic roads, mountain passes and beautiful viewpoints, ideal for a short touring break.

Day 1

We leave Annemasse to climb directly on the Salève from where you dominate Geneva and Lake Geneva.

We take the direction of Lake Bourget, from very minor roads and the Fier gorges.

It runs along the Lac du Bourget on its west shore.

Feel free to take a detour Abbey Hautecombe (rate at 14.02.2011, € 3 per adult), whose history begins in the 12th century.

A little before arriving at Chambery, it goes on the Mont du Chat to join the Lake Aiguebelette.

It runs along the lake from the east, before going down south to Les Echelles.

We go back near Chambery after passing the Col du Granier and the Fosse pass.

We arrive at St Jorioz after the Col de Plainpalais and the Col de Leschaux.

You will be welcomed by Gilles at the Hotel Les Tilleurs (info reservations http://www.lestilleuls.com/) located a few kilometers from Annecy.

Day 2

We leave the hotel along the Lake d'Annecy to the south.

We cross the Col de la Forclaz of Queige to go to Hauteluce.

We cross the Col des Saisies to go down to Notre-Dame de Bellecombe.

St Gervais and Chamonix.

We cross the Col des Montets and that of the Forclaz to descend on Martigny.

Direction Monthey, we can take the highway Swiss to win a short time (beware sticker required).

Now you go up towards the Morgins pass, Chatel and back down through the valley of Abondance.
