Bernese Oberland

A 2-day motorcycle road trip through the Bernese Oberland and the legendary Oberalp, Susten, Furka and Grimsel passes, combining panoramic roads, alpine passes and spectacular scenery.

Day 1

Departure from Annemasse towards Thonon, then ascent through the Abondance Valley to Châtel.

Crossing Morgins to enter Switzerland, with stunning views of the Dents du Midi.

Crossing the Rhône River and heading towards Ollon and Villars-sur-Ollon.

Crossing the Col de la Croix to reach Les Diablerets.

Continuing via the Col du Pillon, Gstaad, then Thun and Lake Thun, which we skirt along the northern and eastern shores.

Arrival in Interlaken, followed by a ride along the northern shore of Lake Brienz.

Passing through Meiringen, a charming medieval town.

Shortly afterwards, entering the gorges to climb the Grimsel Pass, then descending towards Gletsch.

Ascent of the Furka Pass near the Rhône Glacier, before descending to Andermatt.

Continuation to Wassen for the overnight stay.

Day 2

Departure from Wassen for the ascent of the Susten Pass.

Recommended stop 4 km after the pass at the “Corner of Paradise” (Himmelrank), offering an exceptional view over the Gadmen Valley and surrounding peaks.

The road briefly descends towards Meiringen, then turns north towards Lake Lungern.

Riding along the western shore of the lake via the Panorama Strasse and climbing the Glaubenbielen Pass.

Entering the canton of Lucerne and heading towards Flühli.

Return towards Thun.

After Thun, riding towards Aigle and Château-d’Oex, then returning to Annemasse along the southern shore of Lake Geneva via Évian, Thonon-les-Bains and Bons-en-Chablais.
