Friday evening:

Motorcycle pickup at Ville-la-Grand, then ride towards Abondance via the Abondance Valley.

Patrick and Virginie welcome you to their home in Frogy, a small hamlet located a few kilometers above Abondance, in a typical Alpine chalet atmosphere.

You can enjoy access to the sauna for a relaxing end to the day.

Alternative option: spend the night at Hôtel Macchi 4*, a mountain-style chalet located in the center of Châtel, ideal for a relaxing evening. Enjoy its indoor pool, sauna and Ayurvedic spa.

Breakfast with local products, fresh fruit juice, homemade yogurts and jams, pancakes… a perfect way to start the day!

 

Saturday: Tour of Lake Léman via Yvoire, Col de la Faucille, Lausanne and the Lavaux vineyards (see on Google Maps)

We start towards Yvoire, riding down along the Dranse River in the Abondance Valley. You can leave your helmet at the tourist office for a more comfortable visit of Yvoire.

The route then follows Lake Léman towards Geneva. Make sure you have the required documents to enter Switzerland.

You cross the Mont-Blanc Bridge in Geneva, then continue along the lakeside before climbing the Col de la Faucille.

The return is via the Col de la Givrine towards Nyon, riding along the Jura slopes overlooking Lake Léman and the Alps.

The route descends to the lake at Morges, bypasses Lausanne, then climbs slightly at Lutry to enjoy breathtaking views over the Lavaux vineyards (UNESCO World Heritage site) above Saint-Saphorin.

You then continue along the lakeshore via Vevey and Montreux.

You re-enter France at Saint-Gingolph, then ride through the Chablais region after Meillerie.

Return to the B&B or hotel.

Sunday: Chamonix, Col des Aravis, Lake Annecy (see on Google Maps)

You ride through the Abondance Valley, crossing Châtel and the Morgins Pass into Switzerland.

At Martigny, head towards the Col de la Forclaz in the direction of Chamonix.

You pass through Chamonix, Saint-Gervais and Megève.

At Flumet, turn right towards the Col des Aravis.

Continue via La Clusaz and Thônes, then descend to Lake Annecy.

A final series of passes brings you back to the Salève, offering a 360° view over the Alps and Geneva, before returning to the shop in Ville-la-Grand.
