3 days motorcycle trip to Beaujolais

A 3-day motorcycle tour through the Beaujolais region, combining winding roads, vineyards and varied landscapes, ideal for an extended riding escape.

Day 1
Distance: 266 km – Riding time: 6h03

Pick up the rental motorcycles at Annemasse railway station and head towards the Salève to gain altitude.

After Cruseilles, ride north and then west towards Frangy and Seyssel.

Climb the Grand Colombier, then descend via the Col de la Lèbe towards Hauteville-Lompnes.

After Corlier, leave the main road to take the Col de Montratier towards Jujurieux and Ambronay.

Before Saint-Denis-en-Bugey, head west across the Dombes region and its many ponds.

Continue west via Villefranche-sur-Saône to reach the first curves of Beaujolais.

Arrival in Fleurie, with accommodation at the Hôtel des Grands Vins.

Day 2
Distance: 212 km – Riding time: 4h44

Departure from Fleurie towards the north, passing several passes to reach the Roche de Solutré.

Possibility to climb the Signal de la Mère Boitier, the highest point of the Mâconnais hills.

Continue through the Haut-Beaujolais via Chenelette, Ranchal and Thel.

Ride through vineyards around Oingt, famous for its golden stone houses.

Return to Fleurie via Villié-Morgon and Chiroubles.

Day 3
Distance: 261 km – Riding time: 5h18

Return towards Haute-Savoie via secondary roads to Bourg-en-Bresse.

Pass the Royal Monastery of Brou, then follow the Ain and Bienne valleys to Saint-Claude.

Optional stop at the “Queue de Cheval” waterfall.

Ride through the Haut-Jura Natural Park and return to Annemasse.
