Riding in Paris is more pleasant on Sundays due to lighter traffic.
Pick up the rental motorcycle at the Moto-Plaisir office in Ville-la-Grand. Ride along Lake Geneva, then climb into the Jura mountains via the Col de la Faucille. After Champagnole, continue northwest toward Poligny, Seurre and Beaune. Burgundy offers winding and enjoyable roads. Overnight in Saulieu.

Leave Saulieu heading northwest toward Sens, passing west of Auxerre. Burgundy’s rolling countryside gives way to the Paris region. Arrival in Paris (12th arrondissement).

Day dedicated to discovering Paris by motorcycle: Notre-Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur, the Louvre and the Champs-Élysées. One day is not enough to see everything—feel free to extend your stay.
Leave Paris heading east. Riding becomes more enjoyable after Provins and Troyes. Enter Burgundy again as the D671 becomes the D971.

Ride back toward Geneva through Burgundy, passing Dole, then cross the Jura Mountains via the Col de la Givrine. Descend toward Lake Geneva and return to Ville-la-Grand to drop off the motorcycles.
